Mudbugs & Margaritas is an annual event held in Foley, Alabama, which celebrates the arrival of spring with a fun-filled day of food, music, and entertainment.
Events and Activities
The main attraction at Mudbugs & Margaritas is undoubtedly its delicious Cajun-style crawfish boils. Visitors can purchase buckets filled with fresh boiled crawfish alongside sides like corn on cob or potatoes. Alongside great food are also multiple vendors selling handmade crafts such as jewelry or pottery that visitors can purchase as souvenirs from their trip. Besides eating yummy food guests can take part in various contests such as cornhole tournaments or participate in raffles for prizes donated by local businesses. For those interested in learning a new skill, there are also cooking demos where chefs teach visitors how to make their own Cajun-style dishes. For children, the kid’s zone area is back again this year, featuring face painting, games, bouncy houses and various other activities for all ages to enjoy.
Just a short drive away from the event grounds is the Gulf Coast Zoo which recently relocated after Hurricane Sally destroyed its previous location. This zoo offers hands-on encounters with animals such as giraffes or sloths – an awesome experience for animal lovers of all ages! Another nearby attraction not to miss is OWA Amusement Park- which has thrilling roller coasters and rides that everyone can enjoy. Visitors can also take part in mini-golf or go shopping at Tanger Outlets which features over 120 stores. For history buffs, the Foley Railroad Museum provides an interesting look into Foley’s past as a transportation hub during the early 1900s.
